April – What a Month!

April – What a Month!

We kicked April off with a bang – our 40th Annual KPBA Home Show was an awesome success. If you haven’t already, be sure to check out our sponsor highlight video on our 2020 Home Show page. We can never thank our sponsors enough; it is through their commitment and solid support that we are able to continue making a difference in our community. Huge “THANK YOU” to each of our sponsors.

2020 Home Show booth space rentals are open now. Interested in becoming a sponsor? Contact us. We have fantastic opportunities!

Our raffle shed was a great success. We raised more than 1/3 of our annual goal for our Scholarship Program. We’re keeping the momentum going! Be sure to watch for our next event – the Annual KPBA Wine Tasting in June.

Our monthly membership meeting was held at Ammo Can Coffee in Soldotna with special guest speakers from Homer Electric Association there to discuss line extensions. It was a well-attended event and the food from “Dinner’s Ready” was fantastic! Thank you to Ammo Can Coffee for providing our town with the perfect meeting place!

Our Youth Open Mic Night started small but we had a blast! Talk about talent! We’re looking forward to having our first ever talent show at the end of the year. All proceeds will go to the KPBA Scholarship Program. We are hoping to get the word out that we give away scholarships to local youth, and Open Mic Night is a great way for us to connect with our audience.

Don’t forget Scholarship applications are due by 11:59PM April 30th. We’re looking forward to again helping local Kenai Peninsula students pursue their dreams in the building industry!

Summer is almost here and our members are already busy with the building season. May is our Membership Drive month. If you know someone that would benefit from being part of and make a wonderful addition to KPBA, send them our way or bring them to our next meeting! We currently have an 89.4% retention rate and are almost as big as the MatSu and Fairbanks HBAs. The best part is that we truly are making a difference. We are at the table in Juneau, and we are active in our community.

Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram., and Che k back here regularly!
