We have to share with everyone how wonderful our members and community are…
We raised over $3300 for charity at our Annual Banquet/Christmas Fundraiser in just three hours and are thrilled to be able to help so many in our community through the outpouring of generosity from those who donated. As everyone prepares for the holidays it’s nice to take a moment and reflect on what the season is truly about; time spent with friends, family and community, appreciating our blessings and sharing them with others. Charitable giving comes in so many forms and we would like to thank not just those who donated items for our auctions, or money for our cause; we’d like to thank everyone that took the time to support our endeavor.
As is tradition, KPBA recognized our Award Recipients at the banquet. If you see them, please be sure to congratulate them. They are a great reflection of our association and we are proud of their professional accomplishments and selfless endeavors.
The Alaska State Home Building Association (ASHBA) President, Victor Banaszak, flew in from Juneau to install our new Board of Directors. They are:

We are looking forward to 2020. Our next big endeavor will be a trip to Juneau in February to meet up with our Representatives and Senators to discuss the building industry, Statewide Building Code, and what to expect in the year to come. Immediately thereafter, we look forward to our next event Valentines weekend. Don’t miss it: 1950s Prom/Wine Tasting
Coming in April we’re planning the biggest Home Show EVER! Yes, even bigger than our 2019 record-breaking show. Booths are filling up fast! This will be even bigger than our 2019 Show with more floor booths, mezzanine booths and parking lot slots available for vendors. Book now and don’t risk missing out on the Kenai Peninsula’s biggest trade show. Mark your calendars for April 25th and 26th; this will be a family-friendly event worth checking-out.
That wraps up November and December has started with a bang…of snow. As some of you enter day 2 without electricity, we’d like to give a shout-out to the crews at Homer Electric Association for working around the clock to restore power to our communities, and encourage everyone to check on friends and family that may be affected by the outages. It’s a little cold out there and this creates the perfect opportunity to invite folks over for a nice dinner and a chance to warm up, catch up, and enjoy each others company.

Have a fantastic December and check back for our next posting in a few weeks.
