KPBA Scholarship Program

KPBA is passionate about training people that want a career in the building industry. There are great, well paying, jobs available now for those that want to learn. The KPBA Shelby Johnson Memorial Scholarship Fund gives out scholarships to those that are training in a field associated with building homes. That covers a lot! Applicants should be seniors in high school or older.

The board voted to name the scholarship in honor and in memory of Shelby Johnson due to his great support and involvement of the program through many years. Shelby was a long time member and helped institute the scholarship program. He passed away in 2001 while serving as KPBA president.

The number of scholarships given in a year is based on funds available. Funds are raised through events, raffles, and donations. Please contact us if you would like to contribute to the scholarship fund.
